Then you have a regular stream to pass around.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The only caveat is that you have to be careful that the stream is disposed *before* the UIImage is disposed.&lt;/p&gt;

I'll be keep the source code closed at the moment but I'll do a blog post in a day or two which will be give a more technical overview on the app - highlighting tips on how to show loading screens, async methods and converting a UIImage to a ByteArray (for sending an image over a web service). &lt;/p&gt;
