We are developing a web application with VS2003. Suddenly all of my (server) web controls have become literal controls. this has broken my code.

If anyone has any idea as to why this would happen, please e-mail me at sing4you@hotmail.com.

You are right. LiteralControl doesn't have server-side processing and it is recreated in each request.

Hence, doesn't persist on the page via ViewState.

Hence, doesn't persist on the page via ViewState.

I had VS 2005 Beta2 already installed. Before installing SQL Server April CTP I uninstalled SQL Server Express (installed as part of VS 2005). SQL install worked perfectly.

1. The April CTP should be coming quite soon.

2. George, it seems you are right. They pulled the download of the CTPs. Maybe you can ping someone from the Indigo or Avalon team via the newsgroups and ask them. Sorry about that.

It looks like the February 2005 VS 2005 CTP is missing from MSDN. This makes new installations of required bits a little difficult if someone does not already have the bits downloaded.

where is the SQL Server 2005 April CTP? I only find the express edition.
