I haven't been able to install VS2005 on vista. Does Windows 7 have similar issues? I am wondering whether to forget about Vista and move to Windows 7

A Netgear router problem (I think) Suddenly I could not receive any signal from my own personal network to any of my other PCs. I did recieve weak signals from neighbors networks and was able to connect to internet through them but it failed frequently due to weak signal. My central PC connects through ethernet, and router is attached. Suggestions?

Hi,

Imagine we still face this problem in 2009 with WinXP. I have been using 6 completely different machines for the past years believing it might be the hardware problem.

I blamed Firefox, Outlook, Lotus Notes, Skype, Communicator, Word, Notepad++, Carbide, Cygwin, Java, Antivirus stuff and firewall soft for that.

Then multimonitor setups and high resolution as the problem is more likely to occur with higher resolution.

And then I started to blame XP itself and found your post.

i have a netgear wrg614 wireless router and i play my playstation 3 online very often. Every time the phone rings my connection gets interrupted and it kicks me out of the server i was playing on. After that it will log me out of my account and i will have to log back in. I have called many different help lines, and none have seemed to help.

CTRL - ALT - END <-- when trying to remote in. then LOGOFF. Wait for it to log off (may take a min or two). Then RDP back in.

BTW, the only method to protect yourself from spy devices and annoying calls is to use <a href="www.jammer-store.com/">Phone blocker</a>. Disable mobile phones around you.

Okay, these algorithms suck, and there seems to be no difference between random and shuffle.

If something is "random" you can get the same song out of, say, 10, over and over again. It selects randomly from the whole list. Ever flipped a coin five times and got heads every time? Believe me, you never want random, you want what shuffle *should* be.

"Shuffle" doesn't work any differently, but it should. Say I shuffle a deck of cards, then deal just one--the ace of spades. The next card I deal can't be that ace, can it? The ace has been eliminated from the list, and you have just 51 selections left. So if you had 52 songs, and listened to 52 songs, you would hear them all, shuffled, and none would repeat. Then it could either be programmed to start over again, or stop playing.

But the designers don't seem to understand any difference between these two things. All the programs just do random. It is annoying, to say the least.

If *I* had 2000 good songs, I'd want to hear them all before hearing the same one three times, wouldn't I?
