My name is Marc Brown and I am an elementary school teacher from Denver Colorado. I created a web site called Themarcbrownproject.com

The Marc Brown Project was born in the summer of 2007.

I was driving home one day, top down on the convertible, National Public Radio blaring in the background, when a segment about Dr. Marc Brown came on. As I had done oh-so-many times before, I stopped to think about this "parallel universe me". What's it like to be a doctor, I wondered? I guess as an elementary school teacher I help people, but providing medical help must certainly be fulfilling too. Over the years I've met and/or heard about more Marc(k) Browns than I could possibly count - doctors, lawyers, children's book authors, Web designers, scientists, real estate moguls...the list goes on.

Rewind just a minute to one of my latest and greatest ideas as a teacher - to open a charter school. My lovely wife suggested talking to all of our friends and acquaintances to see which ones could provide assistance in different areas. We know lawyers who could help with the legal aspects, an architect who would assist us in the design of the school, and so on and so forth.

So with that concept bouncing around in the back of my subconscious, the idea of The Marc Brown Project was born. I thought it would be an interesting social experiment to start a website where the Marc(k) Browns of the world could unite, meet, share ideas, network, learn from one another and act as mentors. Long term, I'd like to begin a scholarship fund for young Marc Browns. And who knows, maybe VH1 will nominate Marc Browns for having The Best Week Ever.

So there you have it - The Marc Brown Project. I am looking forward to seeing what this idea turns into. (Any Web Designer Marc Browns out there?) If you'd like to get your name and homepage, MySpace, Facebook or blog on this site and begin networking, just email me at costaricamarc@yahoo.com. You can also visit my MySpace page.

Just visit www.themarcbrownproject.com leave some comments, start a profile , promote your website or just say hi.

~Marc Brown
