Full credit for blogging about it and increasing the awareness of these bugs. Yes, one does wonder how such bugs make it into production.

I feel that very little thought about usability went into designing this application, some aspects of it are simply terrible to use, although I do agree that overall its an excellent product.

Disney has a system where if you stay at one of their resorts they will pick up your luggage from the airport and deliver to your room if you put the Disney's Magical Express luggage tag on it. Well, after four hours being at the hotel we still hadn't received our luggage. We called them and told them that it hadn't been delivered yet. They said it was on the way and should be there within an hour and a half. We went out for the night. We got back around 10 p.m. My suitcase was delivered but my wife's suitcase was not. We called them and they said that there wasn't anyone at the Disney sorting facility at the airport to talk to anymore so they would call them in the morning. We got a phone call in the morning asking what the suitcase looked like and to verify some contents, because apparently the handle broke off and when that happened the luggage tags fell off. We told them there was a camera bag and a cd case. They called back again to ask if there was anything else in the bag to verify. She told them there was a couple of make up bags. Okay, so it's our bag and they will deliver it. They call us when it gets to the resort and we tell them to deliver it when we call them back because we were still sleeping. We wake up around 10 a.m. and tell them to deliver it. It was delivered and we were relieved to see it...until we opened it. Our Camera bag with two digital cameras in it with all the cords and memory cards were missing, as well as the cd case with 25 dvds in it that we planned to watch while lounging in our bed. Oh and don't forget a bag of Starburst candy. They obviously didn't like the Twizzlers or granola bars, because those were still in the suitcase. So with a very disappointing start to our honeymoon, we went to the resort office to report the missing items. The guy came back 20 minutes later and said, "Here's the thing. The way you got the suitcase is the way we received it from United." But we didn't fly united, we flew sun country, but for some reason it said united in their computer. So we contacted Sun Country the next day and they said that it was accepted by Disney because it showed it in their system. If it was accepted by disney, the tags must have still been somewhat on the bag, because if they fell out before then, how would disney have known to receive the suitcase. We talked to the Disney guys again the next day and he called the Disney sorting center at the airport and talked to someone who said that the bag must have came in on the next flight. The manager said that since because there was only one flight in from that airline each day, deduction says it must have been with sun country. So we are back at pointing the blame on Sun Country. So I say that we should call and talk to the person that actually found our bag to figure out exactly whose lost and found he found it in. We call to try to get ahold of him, and they take a message saying he will call us back. A lady called us back that was supposedly there that day and confirmed that it was in their posession overnight. She then called the manager at our resort to confirm this. She then gave us a number to call and make the claim. We did that and they said they would investigate it. We haven't heard back. So it was never available to the public. It must have been someone with TSA, Sun Country, or Disney. I would say Disney is the most likely suspect because it was in their posession overnight, with a very suspicious handle breakage and tag loss. Our suitcase must have been the only one there, because every one else's luggage would have been delivered. We filed a claim with sun country, disney, and still have to file one with TSA.

Basically, I am tired of reading all these stories, seeing it happen on "Most Shocking" tv shows, and then having it happen to me. Is it a perk off airline workers to cherry pick whatever they want out of anyone's luggage?

I just knew it was going to happen. Before the trip I was talking about airline workers going through luggage. I don't know why when we were packing we didn't stop and think that it would be a good idea to carry on our valuables. I was just looking at a carry on bag as something to hold stuff to keep you busy on the flight.

You would think an airport has thousands of security cameras in it, someone should be able to determine what happened. Who has access to these cameras?

Let's get together and press for legislation to stop these thieving jerks! Somebody has to be accountable for this. They can't get away with it any longer. It almost makes me wonder if they incourage thieving behavior, because nobody will get in trouble any way, because nobody can prove it(security cameras?)!

Sorry for the long incoherent rant! I am just really angry!
