Life in a small ISV

Some experiences of building real world applications as an ISV using MS technologies

About Life in a small ISV

Life in a small ISV is about my experiences of starting up and running our UK based ISV Contigo which was started by myself and 3 good friends Jon, Simon and Symon, in 2006.  Contigo develop bespoke and packaged applications for the Energy and Utilities industries using Microsoft .NET technologies.  I've been a professional software developer for around 20 years working in a range of large companies (AT&T, AXA and E.ON) and with a range of technologies (VMS (the good old days!), C, Oracle, Delphi, Visual Basic, Java and for the last 5 years, .Net).

I live in Birmingham in the UK with my wife Fiona and our 3 Cornish Rexx cats: Fitzroy, Sydney and Hubert. When not playing with software, I ski reasonably, play music badly, listen to music regularly, exercise rarely, eat expensively and drink good wine moderately.
