Yet Another .NET Blog
Perforce
I recently have option to try Perforce source control system and I had to say that it's incredibly fast. It's faster than any other source control system for distributed development I ever gave a try.

Well, it is not just the fastest one.
1. It is the most stable (no hard proof though)
2. It naturally supports most important aspects of CM: branches, integrating, atomary transactions
3. It is the second most widely used source control system after CVS (not counting SourceSafe), whcih even Microsoft doesn't use - in fact they use Perforce for their os development.
4. It has very low maintenance cost.

Have you used Perforce with Visual Studio.NET, for Web projects?
It seems that at this time Perforce does not officially support it yet.
I have tried their beta version of the .NET plug-in - ran across many issues.

Whenever I use source control, I prefer working with client software for source control, not with VS.NET integration.

And would Perforce be a better alternative to Rational's Clearcase?
