Where to snowboard while in Seattle

http://blogs.msdn.com/mvpglobalsummit/archive/2009/02/11/snowflakes-keep-fallin-on-my-head.aspx

Snoqualmie - http://www.summitatsnoqualmie.com/ this is the cheapest and quickest place from downtown Seattle. Alas, the elevation is low, so snow fall is limited. However, it does have some fast lifts and a trick park.

Crystal Mountain - http://www.skicrystal.com - 2 hours away from Seattle and you can go by bus.

Mount bakerhttp://www.mt-baker.com – never been, but gets good reviews. Again, 2-3 hours to get to from Seattle.

Stevens Passhttp://www.stevenspass.com - 2 hours away. Great place to go on long runs. Site gets good reviews.

And of course:

Whistler - http://www.whistler.com/ - if you fancy a 5 hour trip across the border to Canada – this is a great place for the weekend. Yes it is a bit expensive, but it is worth it.

Many MVPs will go after the summit to do some snowboarding.

Cheers

Al
