Registration need only be done once, so remember that if you are already registered you can log in and just sign up for the upcoming event! Otherwise, register now and sign up!

Code Camp is a place for developers to come and learn from their peers. This community driven event has become an international trend where peer groups of all platforms, programming languages and disciplines band together to bring content to the community.

Who is speaking at Code Camp? YOU are, YOUR PEERS are, and YOUR LOCAL EXPERTS are…all are welcome! This is a community event and one of the main purposes of the event is to have local community members step up and offer some cool presentations! Don’t worry if you have never given a presentation before, we’ll give you some tips if you need help, and this a great opportunity to spread your wings. Of course, we do have some ringers on our speaker list as well…stay tuned…

Cloud Camp LA 9/30/2009

CloudCamp is coming to LA on 9/30
CloudCamp is an unconference where early adapters of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. With the rapid change occurring in the industry, we need a place we can meet to share our experiences, challenges and solutions. At CloudCamp, you are encouraged you to share your thoughts in several open discussions, as we strive for the advancement of Cloud Computing. End users, IT professionals and vendors are all encouraged to participate. This camp is cross platform, so come and learn everything you wanted to know about clould computing and how things stack up.
This is a FREE event (except for parking.. see below). And we are limited in the number of attendees so Register soon.

Parking:
Self parking is available at the Pershing Square Garage, on 5th and South Olive St. This underground structure provides 24-hour security parking for $6.00 flat rate after 5:00 p.m. weekdays. And parking may be free if you get your ticket validated at one of the shops. (Not at the Wells fargo building it is $40.00 to park there and their is NO Validation)

Public Transportation:
Metro Line: You can get here by taking the Metro Red Line, exit Pershing Square station and *exit towards 4th street*. Walk up 4th street, take the big elevator up to California plaza and walk across Grand avenue to
the Wells Fargo entrance.

Review of the SoCal Code Camp

Geeks, geeks and more geeks. This is what code camps are all about.

Code camps are in my modest opinion the best way for developers to learn faster than books or blogs, the way to meet other developers with the same interests and the most important, to interact with presenters to get your questions answer. Of course the social network is there.

The SoCal Rock and Roll code camp was free for anybody to attend, the sessions were amazing, you can check the schedule if still posted. All the afternoon sessions were completely full, I was lucky to present very early on Sunday morning, so I was able to interact with the users a little bit more.

MVP Lead Suzanna Moran gave a great presentation about what it takes to be an MVP.

Going to the California Central Coast Code Camp September 27th

The second Central Coast Code Camp will be held September 27th and 28th, 2008, at the Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo, CA.

I’ll be presenting Saturday 27th at 3:45 pm follow by a Geek Dinner.

On Sunday I won’t miss Woody Pewitt’s presentation about Microsoft Live.

Code camps are very important for developers and IT people, keeping them free is a difficult task, yet if we keep all giving a few hours here and there, the task becomes easier. I would encourage anybody that wants to learn and does not have the time, to come this weekend to the code camp and get the knowledge you want. There are always 4 sessions at the same time, so prepare you agenda ahead of the time.

I’ll see you there!
