Presentation: Introduction to .NET and VS 2008 (Birzeit University)
Hi everyone.
In the beginning I want to thank Birzeit university and especially "Najjad Zeenni Information Technology Center of Excellence (NZITCE)" for helping me in inviting the peoples to register in the community and in announcing for the first session.
The Presentation was held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 and was from 14:00 to 16:00 PM.
There were about 50 attendees.I want to thank everyone who attended the session.Actually I didn't expected to have this number of attendees because the weather was very cold and the snow was about to fall.
The presentation was an introduction to a series of sessions that we are going to present in the next weeks. In this session, I introduced the .NET framework and visual studio 2008 and showed how easy we can build applications using asp.net 3.5. I mentioned the tools that are required to develop under Microsoft technologies.
In the Next sessions we will start to concentrate on the ASP.NET technology using c# and VWD 2008.We will also try to give some session about windows development under .NET.
By the way, I attached the presentation slides. In the last slide there is a very helpful resources to download the required tools.I will post more resources on my blog to help you get started.
