Some sites need to get a hold of their JavaScript

Summary: IE7>Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab:

  • Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)
  • Disable Script Debugging Other

This I use along with many other client side debugging tools.  But this one in particular can give you a real head ache on some sites.  I cannot see any JavaScript yellow error codes in some cases but I am truly made aware that the sites' scripts are erroneous because of the number of popup's I get explaining the error code and description, for example the below screen shot shows me trying to register my new copy of the Net Beans IDE for Java and other development. Every key stoke I make to enter my email address (I forgot my password) I get the following error!!  Crazy.  I would have thought that a higher attention to detail, testing would be made before deployment and also may be a dependency check on scripts.

But hey ho!!  I disabled both features while filling the form out!! lol

Yes, JavaScript errors can drive you nuts when you are a web developer and leave the debugging options enabled.
