Little confusion I have here. If I copy large amounts of Data from Folder to Folder on my local machine, which is a new one, and rather high spec <cough>, I do not get a transfer rate of above 4MB/Sec. BUT When I transfer say the 1GB backup to my external hard drive, via USB I get a huge improvement of up to 17MB/sec. I would have thought that it would be so much quicker folder to folder on my local machine than to my external hard drive! Does anyone know of massive transfer speeds than can be reach dependant on the type of hard drive you use?
