IE6 UI , Vista and Firefox

I'm looking for a browser that will run on Vista and give me the same UI that I had with IE6.

At the moment, I'm using Firefox, it isn't my favorite, but I find the UI to be better than IE7.

I've tried some registry hacks for IE7 but now I'm ready to try other things ( I'm addicted to the Google Toolbar's search this site option so that might limit my options)

A little footnote : I still have IE 6 on one machine at home (the main web browsing machine) and the main page of this site doesn't display very well.

Not a solution but there's also an IE7 theme for Firefox:

addons.mozilla.org/.../4988

The ie6 skin is close, but not quite there:

addons.mozilla.org/.../4327

combine with ie tab and it will feel like ie6 (only rendering with the ie7 engine)

Have you tried Maxthon?

http://www.avantbrowser.com

The only replacement to firefox that Ill use.. Uses 60% less memory than FFox, much faster, constantly updated.

Avant browser is firefox without having to install all the addons you need to make firefox run the way you want.

I have tried Maxthon but its too much of a shellshock in UI and usability coming from FireFox and I think Avant is more lightweight and feature rich.

As a web developer, I use FireFox 100%.

Their web developer toolbar is more intuitive than IE, and FIREBUG kicks the crap out of IE's DOM explorer and toolbar combined.

I use the... um... IE/FireFox switch add on. It lets me turn a tab in FF into an IE tab (Renders the page using the IE Engine in firefox).

My laptop only has 2G of memory on it, + a 256M Graphics card so it's more like 1.7Gigs of memory. FireFox does slow down at times... but I have radio streaming and 10 tabs open so :\ haha.

FireBug FireBug FireBug....

My concern isn't which browser is better, I don't want to care about the browser.

I just want to continue using a comfortable (to me) UI to browse the web.

I installed the IE6 skin and IE tab, and I was able to happily forget which browser I was using.

Thanks

FYI Ryan - Usually if your video card/graphics card says 256MB on it, it is dedicated to the card and that means it is not sharing it with your system.  So you would add the 256 to your 2 gigs to give to 2.25 gigs.
