Using ObservableCollection and WCF

I ran into this ObservableCollection and WCF issue a few days ago and I have been fighting with it ever since. After a lot of trail and error I ran into this post, when applied to WPF OC you need to use

/rct:System.Collections.ObjectModel.ObservableCollection`1 /r:C:\Progra~1\Refere~1\Microsoft\WinFX\v3.0\WindowsBase.dll

XP remote desktop into Vista

I can't for the life of me work out to enable remote desktop in Vista so that it works from XP (that is connecting to the Vista box from XP). The option to disable remote desktop from Vista only is greyed out. Any clues?

No WPF for windows sidebar
This is my first post using the new Vista CTP, I am really pleased to say that networking is working fully in this CTP (so well in fact it set up all the networking settings for me). My next challenge will be getting WinFx installed. While lookig at the windows sidebar gadgets site I came across this post. From the post it looks like WPF will not available for sidebar development and will use a pure html\css\JS model. Given the Live.com model and APIs for other (thirdparty) sidebars I am not surprised. That model is well established and will serve gadget development for the sidebar well. That said, I feel its a blow for getting WPF established in the developer mind set and for real time heavy data style gadgets (more commerical style than general purpose) I wonder if the model will fit.
Wayne Smith on WinFx
Wayne Smith, Senior Product Manager for WinFx has an interview on DNJ that talks about WinFx, WPF, Expression and covers a bit of ground on WPF\E and Macromedia overlap. WPF\E has a session at Mix (as does EWD which Wayne also talked about) and I am sure a lot of details are going to come out about it at Mix.
Opase windows in WPF
In the Feb CTP this can be done, check this link on how to do this and this forum post of mine for addtional notes\limitions.

Feb WinFx CTP changes

The Feb WinFx CTP has introduced quite a number of changes, you should be aware of Karsten's list, Tim's list and these two forums posts I started on layout changes and for things not yet noted. The Orcas WinFx bits seem to be really misbehaving in this release, from having to retype XAML lines to get the editor to play to having to use Clean\Build almost all of the time. You may also notice render differences in this release, values don't appear to be as progressive in their effect and you may have a lot of tweaking to do. I am in my 5th hour of refactoring to this CTP.

Update: the layout changes noted above should be carefully noted, see Rob Relyea's follow up to my post.

Running only tests in certain category with MbUnit and TD.net
Luke Melia has a full write up on this. It's great to be seeing more and more folks using MbUnit and TD.net on their TDD projects.
ccnet 1.0.1
Owen has announced that ccnet 1.0.1 has been released, this includes a fix I contributed so ccnet tray to runs on .NET 2.0 (if you running ccnet in 2.0).
