No WPF for windows sidebar

This is my first post using the new Vista CTP, I am really pleased to say that networking is working fully in this CTP (so well in fact it set up all the networking settings for me). My next challenge will be getting WinFx installed. While lookig at the windows sidebar gadgets site I came across this post. From the post it looks like WPF will not available for sidebar development and will use a pure html\css\JS model. Given the Live.com model and APIs for other (thirdparty) sidebars I am not surprised. That model is well established and will serve gadget development for the sidebar well. That said, I feel its a blow for getting WPF established in the developer mind set and for real time heavy data style gadgets (more commerical style than general purpose) I wonder if the model will fit.

This certainly suggests that you can use WPF for sidebar gadgets.
