In my previous Silverlight Closed Captioning screencast here , I showed you how to use Expression Encoder to import Closed Captioning information to produce a solution without writing a line of code. What if you store your Closed Captioning information in an external data source (database, SAMI file, XML file, etc.) and want to keep it there? Do you have to reprocess all of your videos using Expression Encoder? Of course not, but you do have to write some code:). In this screencast, I show you how to use Silverlight, ASP.NET AJAX, and the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to solve this problem. You can view the screencast here . It's been a while since I've done a screencast. I get quite a few "How Do I?" questions in my inbox from customers. Quite often, the initial answer to your question is "I don't know." When that's the case, it gives me the excuse to try it out:). I am trying to get better at sharing the answers with everyone via the blog. Father time isn't always on my side though:(. After one of our Developer Conferences, someone asked me how to implement a specific master details scenario with tabs using ASP.NET AJAX. Although I knew what they were asking was possible, I couldn't quite explain it. I hadn't done it myself. So I built it! I recorded a screencast walking through how to do it. The screencast is here . Simplifying XMLHTTP programming with ASP.NET “Atlas”

Here's another "Atlas" screencast. I've been sitting on this one a bit. I just returned from a short vacation and didn't get all the "production work" done before I left. This one took ended up quite a bit longer than I expected so I split it up into two parts to stay within the spirit of screencasts being short consumable demos.
