Why AWStats?

Scott Galloway asks me in my post about configuring AWStats why I prefer AWStats over Analog, for example. Quite simply, Analog requires that I run a batch file with an executable to generate the updated pages (I can schedule this or trigger it on the web with AWStats), static pages are generated (versus one perl page which has access to everything), and I also need an additional piece (Report Magic) to make the output from Analog look halfway decent.

True, but you don't need Perl - and it is WAY faster...But yes, it is not perfect, I wonder if anyone is working on a C# based logfile analyser? - that could be pretty cool!

I really should Google before I ask such questions, apparently soemeone has written a C# based analyser. Not web output but still looks pretty useful... http://www.personalmicrocosms.com/html/wsla.html
