pretty nice, however is really disappointing that such a basic feature (present in the oooold VB6 IDE) is so complicated to obtain to need _code_.

disappointing, as many other aspects of VS2008.

Getting the "missing patch" error after installing Silverlight Tools Beta 2 for VS 2008 on a fresh install of Vista (no previous Silverlight bits).

Either the install is having a problem with particular hardware on my machine, or I have the install order wrong?

Yeah, this is a bit of a bummer. I've followed the steps in your task system, and the "BuildnUmbers.txt" file is created appropriately, but the AssemblyFileVersion and AssemblyVersion attributes are being set to 0.0.0.0. I've looked around for something else that might be setting them to blank, but I can't find anything.

I'm using Visual Studio 2008 and building using the "Build" menu. Any ideas?

After many hours of trying to get VS 2008 SP1 installed...and another hour trying to update Silverlight to work with SP1...I finally have them installed.

But....this caused all my videos to no longer work with Silerlight.

And...all debugging is wiped out even with a debug build...

I cannot delete the SP1 and move back -- it crashes on the "remove" feature.

Make sure you have all your code on a backup machine (as I do thankfully) without SP1!
