AJAX + Flickr + CSS + .Net = FlickrJax

Like I said, I've been tooling around with the AJAX.Net implementation recently. Here's - what I think to be - a nifty little implementation that uses Michael's AJAX.Net implementation and the Flickr API together in a simple-to-use (yet not quite full-featured yet) interface. Catchilly referred to as FlickrJax, it works in Firefox and IE (but that's all I've tested so far). Feedback appreciated...

Any chance of seeing sample code for your Ajax.net work - the more examples the more we realise its potential.

Thanks

Do you have any support for text with the images? I'm asking as a user that has never used flicker, so I'm not sure what data is available.

Maybe a title, or description of each picture.

If this is possible, then searching becomes the next question. Seems difficult to find a picture in a haystack, if you had/have 1000's of entries.

First of all, Gregor, the code on this example is code that I'm testing out for an article that will soon be on asptoday.com. I'm working on the article for submission some time next week, so hopefully the article will come out some time within the next month or so. Keep watching this spot and I'm sure I'll make another post closer to publication date.

Scott, hopefully my response to Gregor will answer your question too. Indeed, there's 1000's of photos on the Flickr site, and yeah, you'd need a lot more capabilities in terms of tag-searching, user filtering, and so forth. But that's another blog post, and more likely even another article...

And as always, I'm still piddling around with this one, and trying to come up with more ideas on things that it could/can/will do. So bookmark it and check back soon to see some updates.
