My ultimate portable device?

I think I found something that might do exactly what I've been looking for. That is, a way to listen to music and use the phone at the same time with headphones and a mic of some sort, all using some sort of remote button console so I don't have to pull the phone out of my pocket to operate it.

I just ordered one of these for my Samsung SPH-i700 and I'll let you know if it does the job in a week or so.
