UK IT jobs market picks up - The Register, UK
http://www.jobstats.co.uk/
Looks like the UK job market may have hit the bottom and started its slow climb upwards (let's hope). Rather like the stock market, it has to enter the floor of the valley before it can climb up the other side. Little to be optimistic about just yet but I am sure being ahead of the curve with our favourite lovely Microsoft technologies can only be a good thing for competitive edge :)
Been a bit out of action for a little while, a couple of people thought I had dropped off the planet. Not to worry (or depending on who you are, sorry to spoil the celebration! ;O)). Just been quiet but back in action. Expect to see http://aspalliance.com/ articles from me again soon as I ramp up and get orf my arse.
Talking of being away .. I had a meeting yesterday where a lightbulb popped into being above my head (figuratively). All of a sudden I don't have to explain N-Tier, .NET, XML, Web Services. I don't have to sell the benefits of the technology any more just what the development will do for them. Clients are talking about this technical stuff to ME.What happened? Where was the in-between bit I missed?
Don't get me wrong, not complaining. It is really nice to get into WHAT we can/should do to make things better for our clients than explain the HOW.
