MP3-hee-hee

Way back I was undecided as to wether to buy a dedicated MP3 player or upgrade my phone to a device that can play music. After playing with Ollies SPV I decided on the Orange phone and bought a decent (or so I thought) sized SD card (256mb). Unfortunately I have found 256mb even with WMA is simply not enough so on my brothers recommendation I have gone for a Creative Labs Jukebox Zen Xtra 30GB.

I have only just started copying music and have managed to fill it up. Hmmm, will have to be a bit more choosey. Sorry Mr Osbourne, so long Ms Morrisette.

If anyone out there has one of these machines I heartily recommend Red Chair softwares Notmad - not only is it better at managing the device (good drag and drop support in explorer) but it also comes with a web server and application to allow your colleagues to view and stream the music using their web browser.

will Notmad allow you to synch your nomad with your PC better than Creative's own tools? I have the Zen 1.0 20Gb and the synching out of the Music Center is a bit lame.

Not sure how much better it is - I only got my zen yesterday! Download the trial though, from the little I have seen it is better than the bundled software
