Who on earth would buy this online? Someone must do, Amazon are not daft.
Please buy a few and help my "moving to canada" fund ;O)
I see Winnipeg has an IT user group - cool :O) (http://weblogs.asp.net/brucecowper/archive/2004/11/17/258925.aspx)
What is the job market for webby people like there? I have this impression of Manitoba being mostly farming, mainly because of my cousins who are ranchers Avison Ranchers http://www.avisonranchers.com/ live there.
Winnipeg is already on my list to visit (one of afformentioned cousins, JP is getting married in August 05) but is also on list of possible places to move to (along with Calgary and Vancouver). House prices in Manitoba are crazily low it seems compared to UK and it is always easier to move to a place where you already know someone.
Scary cold temperatures aside, it certainly looks a nice place. :O)

Anyone who knows me knows I am a fully paid up member of the "I love BillG" fanclub ;) but I must say being an internet marketing geek as well as tech geek I do love the fact that Microsoft has gone full-on into the search engine war. Anyone else who is interested can see progress as it happens here at this excellent blog http://blogs.msdn.com/msnsearch
One thing you notice from blogs is that real people are doing real work with real personalities (very cluetrain) and do respond to feedback and commentary. All I can say is keep up the good work guys. I would love to see Google have some real competition from MS rather than Yahoo, we need some fresh blood and vigour. Google have been a bit dodgy since all the focus on the IPO, imo.
Now if you can only replace overture with a decent competitor to adwords and adsense that would be just fab, thanks ;O)
I really am an MVP

:O)
(Although the welcome gift and MSDN pack should have been a hint already, I can really believe it now it is in black and white pixels <g>)
I was just looking to register a new domain. Selfish I know, but I have a bit of a collection of chrisg.* domains. There are a couple I don't have.
www.chrisg.net is quite a nice portfolio site (Chris Gibbons). He is looking for a position if anyone needs a visionary or strategist.
www.chrisg.ca is my personal favourite though. It is the picture gallery of chrisg who has taken some lovely pictures of some of my favourite places in canada :O) Check them out here. Nice asp.net picture gallery code too - he has his pictures categorised by country, town, etc. Neat :O)
My pictures are hosted at (suprisingly) http://chrisg.org/pictures/ and is just a vanilla ngallery install. Even still advertises Thomas' design services ;O)
I guess this should have gone onto my personal non-.net blog (http://chrisg.org/blog/) but I have been neglecting this one of late and the subject is almost .net related once I mention ngallery ;O)
