Blackberry Pearl from Cingular?

I was in Chicago this past weekend and got to see an old friend of mine. She had a Blackberry Pearl on her, and I must say, I have to get me one of those! Though, currently the Blackberry Pearl is only available from T-Mobile, there are rumors going around that the Pearl will be available from Cingular very soon.

I've been scouring the internet this week trying to find out more info. The various dates I've found are:

November 6th

November 17th

December

January 07.

So what's that tell me? Not a damn thing.

I want my Blackberry Pearl!!!!

Information about St. Louis?
If you're looking for information about Saint Louis, Missouri be sure to check out Inside Saint Louis. My latest project. More details later, I've got some plans for the site, but I'll hold off announcing too many of them until they are actually implemented!
Stopping a window from coming to the front?

The more and more I use gmail the more I get pissed off at this feature. Whenever I go there, the darn window pops up in front of all my other windows. I like to load gmail up and go on to something else, coming back to Gmail when I'm ready.

Can anyone tell me how to keep Gmail from making itself the top window when it loads? This is most annoying in Vista. Please help!

Shaun Walker's Keynote at Tulsa Tech Fest

Here's a quick phone shot of Shaun Walker giving his Keynote Presentation at the Tulsa Tech Fest Today.

At Tulsa Tech Fest
I post this message sitting in NH250 at OSU Tulsa. I'll be giving my presentation on the DotNetNuke Wiki project in about 20 minutes.
Can you upgrade Vista RC1 to RC2?

Has anyone tried upgrading Vista RC1 to RC2? Is it possible? I've got RC1 running at home, don't want to reinstall right now if I have to. If I can upgrade to RC2 I'll do it, otherwise I'll wait for the final release before I start over.

Thanks for the help

Back from Nashville and more DotNetNuke Training

I got back from Nashville this evening. I took a flight down there Monday night to provide a couple of days of DotNetNuke training to one of our new clients down there. Overall it was a great trip. The client is great, staff was a blast, we had fun, and hopefully they learned a bit too! Tennessee is such a beautiful state. I love travelling down there.

The more training I do with DotNetNuke the more I enjoy it. If you're looking for DotNetNuke training then be sure to check us out at www.engagesoftware.net I'd love to come visit your company and help you get ramped up on DotNetNuke.

Here's a photo from my flight home, horrible camera phone pic :D

What's your Vista Windows Experience Index score?

Just over a week and a half ago I installed Windows Vista Ultimate RC1 on the newest of my desktop machines. Overall it's been a pleasurable experience, unlike some of the other DotNetNuke core team members have had!

So far Vista has worked out well with me for VS 2005, I even got a release out for DnnCart.com last week that was completely written on this VISTA box.

I did realize a few things though. I NEEDED to get more RAM. Trying to run Photoshop and VIsual Studio 2k5, as well as a few RDP windows was very taxing on the box. The machine is a Dell, Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz dual core, RADEON X300/X550 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM), 149gig SATA drive. It had 768mb of RAM on it (a mix of 3200 and 4200. With those stats my Windows Experience Index has a base score of 2.0. The limiting number being the Graphics card.

Here's a shot of my score

This evening I installed 2 gigs of DDR2 4200 RAM, and so far it is flying! Hopefully tomorrow I'll be installing a nVidia GeForce 7900GS 256MB PCI-E x16 Video Card that I got off of www.Woot.com a few weeks back, this weekend I also ordered a Seagate 250GB SATA Hard Drive refurb off of woot. I've gotta pick up a DVI to VGA converter tomorrow so I can use the car, my 19" VGA just won't fit into the DVI plug! I ordered two off Tiger Direct last week, but of course I ordered the wrong ones. I figure once I install this new card my score should go up quite a bit! We'll see how it goes.

After I get the score up I'll have to look into getting another monitor up here as well, I'm itching to try my hand in a dual screen setup, though two 19" CRTs will sure take up a lot of deskspace!
