Please welcome Laurent
Laurent has jumped in and now has a blog too. A new Frenchie on the blog ;-)
See you at TechEd Europe 2003

TechEd Europe 2003 (10th anniversary!) is to start in a few days from now. We are already a bunch of members of the French .NET community who arranged a meeting during TechEd in Barcelona. It would be cool if we could meet some members of the community from other countries.

I already posted an a proposal for such a meeting on my blog, and received some answers from very cool people like Robert A. Wlodarczyk, Christoph Wille, Samer Ibrahim, Sami Jaber and speakers like Pascal Belaud and Christian Weyer

The meeting (codename ".NET Unplugged Tapas Meeting", a spanish version of our French ".NET Unplugged Beer Meetings") will supposedly take place on Tuesday of Wednesday evening. We have to decide the date, since there will be a MVP party on Wednesday evening.

Anyone interrested to join, drop me a line or write a comment.

Cheers!

alt.movies.the-matrix

It looks like someone has had a good laugh. A usenet newsgroup called "alt.movies.the-matrix" was created on msnews.microsoft.com.

Where a mistyped URL can bring you

I mistyped the URL as I wanted to go and check Nikhilk's blog about the future release of ASP.NET Web Matrix. I got there. It seems that another Nikhil is living in the Matrix ;-)

OTN launches RSS news feed

#include "std_disclaimer.h"

I received this news tonight from an OTN newsletter:

OTN Launches RSS News Feed
Now you can read up-to-date headlines containing OTN's news, opinion, and technical articles from your RSS-aware news reader client. See a list of available feeds at http://otn.oracle.com/syndication

Two weeks ago, SUN announced RSS feeds for developers resources. IBM also offers RSS feeds on DeveloperWorks. So does Microsoft on MSDN. It looks like the RSS syndrom has now reached Oracle as well...

Online Rotor source code browser
This is nothing new, but I thought it could be useful to repost it here. 123aspx.com offers an online source code browser for Rotor. It can be helpful when you try to guess how a class works, or during your presentations when you talk about Shared Source CLI.
TechEd Dallas: Don't miss DAT305

There was a discussion yesterday about a session that talked about O/R mapping problems without providing a solution and showing code. If you want to hear about a tool, see real code, don't miss DAT305 about OlyMars. If you've never seen Pascal doing his presentation, I strongly suggest that you should attend DAT305.
