A First Look at ASP.NET v 2.0

"A First Look at ASP.NET v 2.0", this is the title of a future book by Dave and Al. No doubt it's going to be a best seller. Here's a table of contents of the book. I hope this title will be available during the PDC (who said "Please MS, put one copy in each attendee's bag?" ;-)).

Well, I'm not posting this to add more hype to an already over-hyped subject, but I had a chance to have a preview of ASP.NET 2.0 and Visual Studio .NET "Whidbey" last week, and both really rocks! Just imagine that all the things you dream about have been added to ASP.NET and VS.NET. I'm really excited about it.

This sentence taken from the intro of the book summarizes this very well:

"Finally, you'll need to be prepared to change the way you think about building code for your Web pages, as in many cases you don't actually have to write any code at all in version 2.0."

The problem with having a so early preview is that it becomes hard to return to your old ASP.NET 1.1 then after ;-)
