You're not a real .NET geek until you've experienced programming Lego Mindstorms (c) with Visual Studio .NET. You can learn more about this here, there, and there, or even better in this Powerpoint slide deck.
How does it works ? You can code using any .NET language. Then the stuff takes the IL code from the assembly produced by Visual Studio .NET and translates it into the native micro-controler code. Really cool!
