Un peu de tout et n'importe quoi...

.Replace("Apostrophe", "Catastrophe");

I'm still working to my aggregator and I have problems with some feeds, especially those hosted by u-blog.net. They almost always use « — » for the simple quote « ' ». (see Kylie weblog). And when I display them, I get an ugly character instead (a kind of square).

It's a pity, but a quick look shows that I am not the only one:

They can't handle that too :)

But on another side, there is no troubles with FeedDemon. There are some who are pretty good developpers! (He can't have a better tool than c#?)

Nice to know FeedDemon passed this test :) FWIW, FeedDemon (like TopStyle and HomeSite before it) was written using Delphi.

Those little squares are oftentimes caused by characters that do not match the encoding of the rss xml-document. In case of Kylie weblog, it's stated to use iso-8859-1, which is an 8bits character-set. #8212; is clearly not part of this charset.
