Network Speed Test Files and HTTP Monitoring
In order to test the network connectivity and network speed for a client, sample files are required for download/upload and monitor the traffic in the meantime.
Personally, I use HttpWatch and the sample files from this web site (This web site provides different sizes of files for testing which is quite handy and useful - http://www.thinkbroadband.com/download.html).
The result is promising because my client had employed a WAN optimization technology in the network, which shows 9x% improvement when sending/receiving large files to/from a classic SharePoint 2010 team site, impressive!
