Designing and Developing a Line-of-Business Web Application in ASP.NET

A new video published on MSDN web site - ASP.NET section

Designing and Developing a Line-of-Business Web Application in ASP.NET
See three demonstrations of Time Tracker, a sample line-of-business application created to show best practices in application architecture and design. Gain insight into key development techniques in .NET, intranet security design, and implementation.    (September 17, Multimedia)

I haven't check it out yet but it looks like using the “Time Tracker” starter kit for demostration. I know that lots of user groups used IBuySpy as the topic of discussion in the past (Undoubtedly, IBuySpy is a really cool sample app in ASP.NET), and I know Darren had a presentation about the ASP.NET Starter Kits for a user group in Australia too. Well, did you present Starter Kits for User Group in the past? Do you know any presentation / repository in this topic?

  • Colt, yes you are quite correct it is the TimeTracker app.

This is an excellent resource that you can use to listen to and have the architecture and some of the key decisions explained to you.

I'd certainly recommend it as a part of the study process for the app!

  • Thanks for your information Darren! :)

  • my 3rd attempt on this video! It just says please wait forever but never seems to start up. Did you have this problem?? I have all latest I.E. service packs, Windows Media player, etc etc.

  • Hi Julia,
