WSS and Visual Studio.NET 2003 (Round 2)

So I found a pretty cool article out using a “Whidbey like” method of doing Master pages with the .NET Framework 1.1 (Simplify Site Updates with Templates).  At work, I tried the code out and thought it was pretty interesting.  So I thought I would give it a go on my test computer at home, but of course I had issues.

Well Done. You saved me hours of troubleshooting. It may also be worth mentioning that by default .NET wants to create web projects in the http://Localhost virtual directory. This directory needs to be excluded from WSS managed path. Or you can't create the .NET project to begin with.
