Audiovox SMT 5600 tip - update your earbuds
I'm rather enjoying my new Audiovox SMT 5600. I've got a few problems with it, mostly related to the bluetooth & headset stuff. (Why can't you easily silence the phone in headset mode, and why can't you play music or sounds through the bluetooth earpiece), but I found a pretty good alternative for using the headset that comes with it...
Since earbuds never stay in my ears, (I always wonder how they work for the ipod sillhouettes) and there aren't any other alternatives for earpieces for this phone, I went to Best Buy and picked up a pack of Jabra EarGels for $7. Simply peel off the black molding, and put on a set of jabra eargels. Sounds pretty good, and they don't fall out of my ears. (Just make sure you get the right size, and be careful if you have to pull them off. I had to use the medium ones, and when I was pulling the small ones off, the right bud almost ripped out)
I still wish some one would make a real set of headphones, or an adapter that would let me use a real pair, and clip on a mic.
