team it seems that WCF currently only supports full trust CAS scenarios.&lt;br /&gt; This means that you&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;font face="Arial" size="2"&gt;&lt;em&gt;a)&lt;/em&gt; cannot use WCF in standard Smart Client/No-Touch Deployment/ClickOnce applications and&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;font face="Arial" size="2"&gt;&lt;em&gt;b)&lt;/em&gt; cannot use WCF services (like .svc implementations) in a partially trusted ASP.NET web site as found in every serious hosting space.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt; It looks nice, believe me &lt;span style="font-family: Wingdings;"&gt;:)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;But there is one major and annoying bug in the .NET Framework 2.0 which simply blocks our code generation features:&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;i&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;a href="http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/ProductFeedback/viewFeedback.aspx?feedbackId=FDBK35333"&gt;Bug Details: Null reference error when using wsdl.exe /server to generate code from metadata&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;So we all still need to be patient. I have a confirmation from ASMX’s PM, &lt;a href="http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/User/Profile.aspx?UserID=26"&gt;Daniel Roth&lt;/a&gt;, that the bug has been fixed in the meantime but this fix did not yet make it into any public build.&lt;br /&gt; Stay tuned.
