It's not an anti-gmail attitude at all - just some honest opinions :-)

For me, it's a way to save time and money. I've been a web mail user for a long time, and at YahooMail, I have to pay (money) to have even 25 MB of space, which I fill up pretty regularly. When I know I'm going out of town, I have to spend several hours trying to delete as much stuff as I can (time), so that my account won't fill up and be deactivated while I'm away (which still happens a good bit--one large attachment and my account is toast).

I agree with Marcie. I like to use online webmails, because it allows me to check my email whereever I am in the world. I used mainly hotmail but hotmails provides not really much space to store emails.

Look -- everyone here is posting something like "please-oh-please send me an invite, i need it." I'll be straightforward and honest. I don't perhaps 'need' gmail. however, i really want it. why? because as a medical student at the university of michigan i constantly receive large attachments, such as lecture videos or powerpoint slideshows. with one gigabyte of storage i would be saved.
