Comment Spam

Comment spam sucks. I'm getting deluged with email to approve comments from these slimeballs.  Google says they have the solution, but I have to agree with Robert McLaws. We're not going to stop the spam with a rel attribute (though, I'm glad Scott Watermasysk has a .Text quick fix). The only way we're going to stop these bastards is with CAPTCHA.  I hope that's hign on the Telligent priority list.

As best I can tell from running Google Translate (http://www.google.com/translate) on your page, I would need access to the web.config file on the weblogs.asp.net server, which I don't think they'll give me. :-) If I was running my own server, it looks like exactly what I need, though.

Yex uses a control you can use if you don't have access to the web.config. You will still need to be able to upload an updated user control for your skin.

I feel Comment Spammers are indeed seem to be quite smart and intelligent in terms of being blocked. They always get success in finding a new way whenever they are caught or blocked. Although on my blog, i have been able to reduce the amount of spam comments. But the main issue is that the amount of spams are increasing day by day, just look at what this article shows anti-spam-info.com/.../Comment-Spam We must find a solution to these spammers very soon.
