[CNET News] The company is expected to hand out a development kit that will give developers their first look at the inner workings of the much-heralded new operating system. Longhorn will usher in a raft of changes from previous versions of Windows. In his Web log, Brad Abrams, a lead program manager involved with Microsoft's .Net initiative, said that developers will walk away with Longhorn code.
While the above is true (and very cool), I still think that "news" sites using weblogs for their story source is pretty interesting.
And Scary... I hate to think that anyone who works at MS (or any other company for that matter), will censor themselves because they are afraid that some trade rag will quote them... It already happened to Chris Brumme when Slashdot quoted him. If you ask me, CNet and the others need to leave the weblogging community alone!
