What a slashdot-like comment.

Try this one: ever notice how many virus writer attack windows?

What what's the driving motive behind the post?

I don't think that it's a "slashdot-like" comment, but rather a true observation. I read quite a bit of the daily WTF, and I've noticed the same thing. (That, and a lot of bad T-SQL).

And now, for a /.-like response:

Yada yada sample size blah blah blah. At least I can use an apostrophe correctly - I'm starting to think I need to put that on my resume.

I am terrible with apostrophes. I just can't remember when to use them and when not, no matter how many times I am told.

Just another brit who can't write his own language :)

That's because you simply cannot stifle the creativity of a VB developer. Normally, they are challenged with business problems, and do great at solving them. But, if you place a VB programmer in a creative sensory deprivation tank (working on insurance apps, for example), then eventually the creativity breaks free in unpredictable ways. Hence:

It's much like the brilliant kid who does poorly in school due to lack of challenge.

(That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.. :)
