Live, From Vermont...
Here it is, then. Another first blog entry on .NETWebLogs. Thanks, Scott!
A brief summary of nerd credentials follows:
Installed and managed WAIS and Gopher servers in Academia in the early 90's, my first web server in '94 on an RS/6000 AIX box, and have been building online applications ever since. Registered the domain mrdigital.com in May 1995, so I will also answer to Mr. Digital. Have built online apps in PHP, then Cold Fusion, then ASP, and since TechEd 2001 Atlanta and Beta 2, exclusively .NET. I am an MCSD and since 1999, the Lead Developer with a privately-held engineering firm in Pittsburgh, PA, doing that work from Burlington, Vermont since April of 2000. Oh yes, as an active member of the outstanding Vermont .NET User's Group, I am also a pal of Julie's. So forget all the other stuff, just know I am in the POJ Club (Pal Of Julie.)
I plan to write about my daily maturation as a .NET developer, hard-earned lessons, and the fun of discovery. I have a ".NET Discovery of the Day" Post Category to which my goal is to add to daily. I know this won't happen, but .NET is all about discovery, how to do it better, faster, cleaner. This is my primary blogging intent. Secondarily, I want to write about This Developer Life, not as a sage for having done it so long, but as a pupil finding my way.
Howdy!
