December in Review

There are a number of good posts on 2004 Predictions as well as 2003 Year in Review articles.  One of the best of the Year in Review posts in my opinion was Jason Salas' What a Long, Strange Trip its Been.

Its been a month since I posted (Nov 24), and most other developers following similar absences say how busy they were with projects and work.  I can't say that.  Instead I'll say that I've been enjoying a state of satisfaction with my work these past weeks and not feeling the need to burn the candle at both ends.  I've been doing nothing particularly blogworthy, just The Work.  And its been enough.  No doubt this will soon change and I'll feel The Push (or is it The Pull) to spend more late nights looking at other peoples' code and justifying my value to the developer community and myself by writing about my discoveries.

I didn't read many blogs during the past few weeks either, so I caught up with the 1200+ Weblogs@asp.net posts sitting in my aggregator.  Of those 1200 posts I deleted all but 20 or so, which is the reason for this post.  Is it just me, or does it seem like a down time for development with not a whole lot of WOW! stuff going on?  Or maybe its just me?

Happy New Year everyone.
