Why I no longer submit article ideas to Fawcette

I'm not owed any money from Fawcette because I'm not published.  I know Mike and Don are not alone.

I submitted a full article to Fawcette for Visual Studio Magazine last fall fully compliant with the VSM template, a proposal letter, the works.  I sent it to the editor, as instructed on the site.  He never responded.  At all.  After 6 weeks I wrote back, reattaching the article and materials and asked for status info.  Again, he never responded.   Completely unprofessional.

So I sent the article off to MSDN and was astounded (really) by the immediate feedback by many individuals in MSDN editing positions.  While the piece is still in limbo at MSDN, the experience has been VERY positive, in complete contradiction to my dealings with Fawcette.

I've had the same experience, and I'm not even bothering to renew my VS subscription.
