Now it's official--ASP.NET 2.0 (and even more future versions) will provide a strong support for cross-browser scripting in AJAX-style. Read the news here

ScottGu and NikhilK bring more to the table. Wait (until PDC) and see. Sounds *really* interesting.

All what I can say, It's about time, I mean come on, DHTML has been around for many years, and Microsoft hasn't been utilizing it in ASP.NET, I just hate the fact that web pages have to post back every single time. Hopefully we'll have access to the Rich DHTML object mode through this framework.

Well, this is completely typically. MS employees, like Bernard what's his name were going bonkers when Google Maps came out saying Microsoft had this a long time ago and it's not big deal.

Reminds me of when Firefox and other browsers came out with tabbed windows for browsers and MS didn't do anything until Firefox started to skyrocket in downloads.

What's really bad is the MS evangelists and MVP and MS zeolots out there are so completely bias they end up later looking so bad like Bernard what's his name does now.

These Microsoft zeolots and the bunch of them are simply just PR people who coded a bit in past and weren't that good at it, And likewise have no idea what's it's like to do the heavy listing now.

Can this be said about a lot of .NET wanna be? yes.

Esposito well, at least he has some code and doesn't see things through rose colored glasses like most .NET advocates do.
