Be careful with Ctrl+C

Do not keep sensitive data (like passwords, creditcard numbers, PIN
etc.) in the clipboard while surfing the web. It is extremely easy to
extract the text stored in the clipboard to steal your sensitive
information.

Just try this:
       1) Copy any text by ctrl+c
       2) Click the Link:
          http://www.friendlycanadian.com/applications/clipboard.htm
       3) You will see the text you copied on the Screen which was
accessed by this web page.

This doesn't work in Firefox (it has security settings on by default that prevent copy and paste access from JavaScript). There is more information on how to enable it if you would want to in Mozilla based browsers located at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Granting_JavaScript_access_to_the_clipboard

I'll check to see if this occurs on Safari when I get home and I'll post back.

As Chad commented - no dice in Firefox...

I wonder if this programmatic access to the clipboard is turned off by default in IE7..

Can anyone with the Vista beta comment?

Cheers,
Wim
