Help! I've Caught Disco Fever!

I spent over six hours in a car with Mike Kass this weekend driving back and forth to a cabin in Olympic National Park. For those of you who don't know Mike Kass, picture Skippy from Family Ties, and then give him a +2 in "niceness". Mike is a great guy, but if I have to listen to the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever one more time I might lose it. The one thing that kept me sane is that he does a great Bee Gees impression (and also Axl Rose, but that's for another blog entry).

Seriously.

I like to think of myself more as 2 percent Skippy from Family Ties, 98 percent Enrique Iglesias. But I have heard differing opinions -- 1 percent Skippy, 99 percent Enrique; 0.05 percent Skippy, 99.95 percent Enrique -- so who's really to say? Saturday Night Fever soundtrack's a great album alright. What Ed forgot to mention was his insistence on listening to Disco Inferno all the way through. Now, for those of you have performed this feat, you'll likely agree Disco Inferno's a song that should have been 3 minutes, not 10+. Back in school we would call this diminishing marginal returns... kind of like M&M's, but less delicious and more annoying.

By the way, I like MY version of Disco Inferno (the one with all the profanity) much better.

Yes, unfortunately, Tower Records didn't see fit to make yours a cornerstone of pop culture.
