Quite A Dilemma

Should I pay for a return plane ticket from China or just try to get deported?

It's not a work trip, so my options are more open...

Make sure you check the ramifications that getting deported will have. This may effect you in the future. I'm guessing that buying a ticket will keep you from having to deal with the government and will be extremely more pleasant than getting deported if only for the fact that dealing with a beaurocracy like this is never pleasant, even when they aren't kicking you out of the country. I can't imagine things would be any better under those conditions.
