Starting to sweat bullets yet?

A recurring topic of conversation around the office as of late is Outsourcing. OUCH! Yep. I said it! the “O” word. What can we do about it? I'm not really thrilled about the future of IT in this country. I would hate to see my job go off to another country, as have jobs in industry and manufacturing in decades past. So what do you think? Working in technology is all I've ever done, and all I've ever wanted to do. But as a contingency, I'm toying around with the idea of going back to school for a “backup” degree. Who knows what the next 15 years will bring? It's best to start thinking about it now.

IMAX, ISCHMAX........who cares?

We had free tickets to the local IMAX theater that had been sitting around for about a year now.They were about to expire so I figured that we had better go ahead and use them. So I sat through 45 minutes of friggin Giant 3D Fish. And it's not like that's a BAD thing. I'm just not that interested. What annoys me is the fact that the IMAX up in Nashville and the IMAX down in Atlanta are Regal cinemas. So that means that they'll have The Matrix on the HOLY CRAP THAT THING IS HUGE screen with 20, 000 watts of sound. What do we get? FRIGGIN 3D Fish!! WooHoo! I can hardly contain myself. And since the theater is owned by the Tennessee Aquarium which is right next door, it will probably always be this way. But can't they understand that they could get a TON of warm butts in the seats if they would show something that people WANT to see. Instead of having to give away tickets to get me and 3 other people to show up for Fish?
