My next watch..
-
So I'm flipping through the latest edition of Wired Magazine, and there's this HUGE FREAKIN piece of cardboard in the middle. Since that always annoys the crap out of me, I went to ripping it out. But what I found was really quite interesting: The MSN Direct service and watches.
http://direct.msn.com/
Now I'm not a watch person. Heck, I'm not a jewelry person. I didn't own a ring until I got married. And I can't tell you how many watches I've owned and lost, broken, beat the crap out of, etc. But I'm ALL into this watch. The only problem now is WHEN will we ever get service here in my area?
I'M READY!

Holy Cow! I'm tired!

I've been wearing myself out lately. I've been trying to coordinate these user group booths for some upcoming DevDays events. It wears a person thin to keep up with so much at once. I also have other INETA projects I'm trying to get caught up on.
Then stack on my own user group, my paying 8 to 5 work, and the work I'm doing on the church web site. It's becoming this ever increasing mound. My wife and daughter miss me. It's been a very busy 2 weeks. It will slow down though. I just need to get everything caught up.
Okay. I'm done for the day. You could smuggle baseballs in the bags under my eyes. Time for beddy bye.

TGIF! WHAT A WEEK!
-
Man! I'm worn out! If I thought I could get away with it, I'd love to take a little nap right now. :) Anyway, dinner was great at Carrabba's last night. We had a great time, and took a ton of pictures with my new camera. (Canon Digital Rebal)
What a week it's been! Earlier I found out that I'm receiving an MVP Award from Microsoft. Today I lucked into 2 tickets to see George Carlin TONIGHT on the 7th Row. I'M STOKED! What a way to cap off the week.
He has a sense of humor that very much resembles my own as far as a satirical nature, and sarcastic wit. He and Dennis Miller for that matter. I think I just happen to “see things” differently than most people.
Till next time...............................

DOH!! It's my brother's birthday.
-
Looks like I'll be heading over to Electronics Boutique after work to do some shopping. He and I both recently got an Xbox. I'll get him an extra controller. That'll make him happy. :) I've been playing the HECK out of NFL Fever 2K4, Amped2, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I'm becoming an Xbox junkie. Someone stop me before I hurt myself!
FYI, I don't know if this is a district, regional, or national deal, but through the end of the month Electronics Boutique is selling used games with a “Buy 2, get one Free” deal. They also seem to have the best prices on used games in town.
Tonight we're headed to Carrabba's to celebrate his birthday. Anyone eaten there?

What the heck -
-
I thought so long as I was logged in, I would go ahead and post again. So I was church last night, having a meeting for the web site ministry, and someone threw this URL out there:
http://www.thebricktestament.com
I was looking at it, realized that it took a great deal of time and work to put that thing together. But as much as my daughter likes leggo's, it's one more way to get her into the Word.

I'm an MVP? Kick ASS!
-
Who'd have thunk it? I'm by no means the best programmer you've ever met. And I'm usually on the asking end of a technical question. Maybe it's my activities in the .NET Community at large? Or the posts I make in the INETA forums? Got me. <shrug>
I am proud to receive the award. I'm not exactly sure what all this will entail, but it sounds like fun. We already have 3 MVP's in our .NET User Group. None of which are .NET MVP's. But one of them was telling me about the up and coming summit. I told my boss, and even her boss about the summit. And they're looking in the budget for money to send me. GOOD GRIEF!! How's that for dumb luck? So needless to say, it's been a pretty good week.
If you're a .NET MVP, and wouldn't mind giving me the low down, drop me a line and tell me what it's about. You can email me at eking@unumprovident.com, or post a reply for me.

Thanks for the comments on my Photoshop work in my last post. It was fun making the pic, and only took about 10 minutes. I have all kinds of ideas for more pictures of my multiple personalities to come.
MUHAHAHAHAHAH.

Where the heck have I been?

I've been away from blogging for a while. Life tends to get busy busy busy. I have been spending a great deal of time messing with Digital Photography. I got myself a Canon Digital Rebel for Christmas. It's a fantastic camera! I'm having a blast with it.
Here is a pic that I had some Photoshop fun with on New Years Eve:

I'll be posting more soon.
Really I will.
