Someone else is as fed up as I am

Friends had been telling me for months to move over to the Firefox browser and get away from IE. So I made the switch about a month ago. I've actually been able to browse the web without having to scan my machine for spyware daily. It's been nice. Browsing the web with IE had become like driving a lemon of a car that could blow up or break down at any moment. Even with my security settings cranked to the roof, I still managed to acquire spyware.

It was just too incredibly annoying to have to answer "yes" or "no" to every piece of script and every active x control as they loaded. And even after telling everything no, I would still get hammered.

I've not had trouble for a month now. I'm really diggin it.

<question>
Have you run into any annoying issues with FireFox that you haven't seen with IE?

I have to get this out somewhere... :)

I've just switched to FireFox myself after spending over an hour trying to get my gmail to come up. I've tried enabling cookies, javascript, even allowing ActiveX controls (let me tell you how intuitive it is trying to guess what every little setting is in IE's Tools->Options->Advanced tree view). I've changed the default security settings, the default privacy settings, cleared my cache, cleared my cookies, etc. The gmail site will just not show up... (this may have something to do with the SP2 lockdown, mind you...)

So I installed FireFox. Their settings UI is much friendlier than IE's, the interface seems cleaner, and most importantly, the gmail site works...

...sigh...

I'm now looking into making a permanent switch to FireFox...
