Yeah, I survived round 3!!
Nothing makes you wanna go back to your cube, slap on the earphones, and jam to Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" like finding out that you've just survived ANOTHER round of layoffs.

Kevin came to work for this company, we were still in the late 90's, and the Dot-Com bubble hadn't burst yet. He used to tell me all the time "Hey! We're hiring programmers like mad! We're looking for 3 more people on my team.". It took me a few years to come around and apply for a job here.
In the 25 months that I have been employed here, we've had 3 rounds of layoffs. In fact all 3 have occured in the last 18 months. This last round hit close to home as 2 of the people were on our team. One of which I sat 5 feet from. It doesn't exactly make anyone feel very secure.
