Family tech support
I don't know anyone who works in IT and enjoys being the designated tech support for their family. Worse yet, it seems that they ALL own a computer. My aunts, uncles, and even my grandparents have pc's. Tomorrow I get to drive for an hour to my grandparents house so I can help setup their new Dell. I really don't mind doing it, but since I will be a person that laid eyes on the new computer and touched it, apparently that means that I am the person to call for any and all abnormalities. Lucky me. I'm OK with helping someone to install something and get it working, but I HATE being called if it decides to stop working. Don't call me. Call tech support. That is what they are paid to do.
2 things I would like to see....
These just popped into my head while working today, and I thought I would share:

1. Video output on the Pocket PC. How about the small 1/8 inch jack like all consumer model digital cameras have?  I like to connect my digital camera to televisions at friends / families houses to share digital pictures. Wouldn't it be great to do that with your PocketPC? Instead of taking my laptop to a meeting to make a presentation on the projector, I could just copy my presentation to my PocketPC and bring it along. Connect the Pocket PC to the projector and wammo! Done deal.

2. And along that note, I thought "Hey, wouldn't it be cool for projector manufactorers to start using some lightweight form of Windows embedded with a basic PowerPoint viewer?" Then slap a USB port on there, and there ya go! Just copy your presentation to a key-disk memory stick, and take it to your meeting. Nothing else necessary.

Anyway, I just thought I would brainstorm aloud today.........
