I just wanted to take a second and mention that I have moved the CodeSmith website over to EAServe and that I have been so incredibly impressed with their service that I wanted to let you all know about it. I didn't want to move to yet another host that has nothing but problems and so I started investigating a few hosts that had been recommended to me by various people. Here are some of the things that I was looking at:
- Uptime - I started monitoring several sites that are hosted at EAServe about 3 months ago and was very impressed with their uptime.
- Price - They have shared accounts starting at $9.95/month that include ASP.NET and SQL Server and their dedicated server pricing is very competitive.
- Features - I am a bleeding edge kind of guy and want a host that at least attempts to keep up with the current technology. I think the fact that they already have test accounts for ASP.NET 2.0 speaks for itself on this one.
- Support - This is a hard one to judge before you become an actual customer, but I can tell you that so far their support has been very responsive to every one of my sometimes stupid questions. They even have support via instant messenger.
